The novel All people’s society, by José Arrabal, is a saga of the Spanish workers migration to Brazil, beginning at the last decades of 19th century. Spanish people who joined immigrates, coming from multidudinous origins inside and outside the country, in a touched construction of the plural physiognomy of Brazilian people.
At the core of the events is the country state of Matacavalos, an egalitarian colony of Andalusian immigrates, placed in southern Espirito Santo. Established by Spanish pioneers in 1891, Matacavalos congregates experiences that gathers to the stories of other immigrates and migrates, families of other nationalities and areas, people who also moved away from where they lived searching for a more abundant and happy life in Brazil.
